Where to get married in Puglia

A local wedding planner's guide to the four areas of Puglia I know best

I am Giusy D'Ambrosio, a destination wedding planner based in Ostuni. For over 17 years I have planned weddings for international couples all over Puglia, from the white town of Ostuni and the trulli of the Valle d'Itria to the seaside masserie of Savelletri, the cliffs of Polignano a Mare and the baroque churches of Lecce. Each area has its own character, venues and logistics: here is what to expect from each one.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best time of year to get married in Puglia?
May, June, September and early October offer warm weather, long evenings and fewer crowds. July and August are the hottest and busiest months, so evening ceremonies work best. Winter weddings are possible too, with lower prices and cosy masserie (see Winter Weddings).

Which airports are closest?
Brindisi (BDS) and Bari (BRI). Brindisi is the most convenient for Ostuni and Salento, Bari for Monopoli and Polignano a Mare. Fasano and Savelletri are roughly halfway between the two.

Do you plan weddings in all these areas?
Yes. I am based in Ostuni and plan weddings across the whole of Puglia, and elsewhere in Italy on request.
